I like to eat it! * Beyond sustenance: for the pleasures of the palette, the smell, the textures; combinatorics of the unusual, the unexpected, the attractive, and sometimes the exotic. * What is your biggest flaw? A reticence to publicize my own particular genius, not a good trait in a mediamaker! * What is your hangup with your mother? I do not have "hangups", I deal with issues quite straightforwardly. * 3 favorite authors Don DeLillo, Sylvere Lotringer, Kobo Abe. * What are the hallmarks of success in life? Auspicious timing. * What is your biggest mental fuck-up? None. I value sanity and lucidity (e.g Dadaism). * What is your favorite animal? Describe it. My cat. Tall, long and all black, he is just affectionate enough, without being bothersome (he will follow you around, at a safe distance). He is not afraid of strangers. Weighing in at around 25 pounds, he doesn't like to be picked up (except for brief moments, by me). Certain particular physical mannerisms (and a charming personality) endear him to people rather quickly, even if they are not fundamentally cat lovers. * How long do you usually know a girl before you kiss her? Jump her? Dump her? Socially or intimately? As soon as the timing is right, for both. * I don't "jump" women, nor have I "dumped" them. * How old were you when you first kissed? Had sex? Smoked Pot? I am not a jealous man (I believe that's what your getting to, with this question). If the woman is truly my girlfriend, then I trust her. Why wait? No...well...maybe, but I'll still live for life before death. * If statistical probabilities are to be trusted, then yes. * Are you psychic? No. But I am attuned to certain alternative realities. * Are you psycho? No. * Do you think you have any sort of understanding of what it would be like to go completely insane? Yes. It's scary. * Were you ever in the armed forces? No. I do believe in armed insurrection, however, and don't believe in non- violent revolution. * Did you ever kiss a girl who had big, hairsprayed bangs? Not that I recall. (no more than 5 lines) There is no single biggest problem. Certainly issues such as intolerance, greed, disaffection, alienation, injustice, come to mind as social problems. However, Bad Writing ranks way up there in my list of "Problems with our Society". * Do you prefer plants or animals? Animals. * If you won $1 million, what would be the very first thing you would buy? The second? The last? A pair of Summerhill "Chair-and-a-Halfs", with ottoman. * An apartment in Paris. * A bottle of champagne, to celebrate spending every last dollar. * Who has been the greatest influence in your life? After a small circle of friends, certain writers and filmmakers. * How do people describe you? That is indeed something I would like to hear! * How do you describe yourself? As truthfully as possible, but this is very context-, situation-, and/or audience-specific. * Do you subscribe to any magazines/newspapers? Which? I am subscribed to numerous trade journals, and buy many more magazines at newsstands, however I personally subscribe to very few. * What are your favorite shoes?
