How do you FEEL about food? Why do you eat?
A: Well, I'm a Taurus, so we all LOVE food. I eat because of the cool textures and flavors, the nifty colors and smells. I like to make eating a sensory experience--I don't eat anything that looks utterly bland or boring, and I sure as hell won't cook anything less than extraordinary. After all, I lived with a caterer this summer, and she taught me at LEAST that much. So, I eat for fun--and, of course, because it's better than wasting away in a corner like that awful Kate Moss thing.
What is your biggest flaw?
A: I am entirely too impatient, and sometimes, all-together too blunt.

What are the hallmarks of success in life?
A: being self-possessed and self-assured, having the guts to follow your dreams and not give a damn about what anyone thinks about it, and of course, getting beyond Life Among the Tragically Hip.

A: I get incredibly nit-picky and pissy about the most minor things.It took me 10 wks to find an apt title for my play.

What was the most crazy thing you ever did as an adolescent?
A: I was Layout editor for my school paper, and replaced the caption underneath the BeautyQueen's pic. with something viciously catty and awful. She was blonde with big bangs and STOOOOOOOPID.
as a college student?
A: Hopped the wall of Atlanta's Historic Oakland Cemetery and had to lie down on top of a grave so we didn't get caught/arrested.Also jumped in the NIN pit w/o noticing everyone was a foot taller than I was--however, I emerged fairly unscathed. My guy pal, 6'4", ended up in the hospital after getting hit a lot less hard than I. *puffs out chest*
as a working stiff?
A: Michael Harper (a snooty Brown Univ.) poet was visiting on campus here, and he was assistant teaching my poetry writing class. He would claim not to know how to use a Xerox machine (I do desktop publ. and Xerox maintenance on campus), and then bitch if it wasn't done two seconds after he brought it to us(literally). I ended up losing my temper and telling him, "Sir, you are giving me a lot of shit for someone who does not know how to push a goddamned green button on a copier." He was very nice to me after that.
If you were a fruit or a vegetable, what would you be?
A: Raspberries--sweet and tartish, and niftily shaped and coloured.

A: Starfruit--different and exotic, but tasteful and interesting.

A: Huh? I would probably be talking to someone, too, so I couldn't bitch, now could I? Jealousy is just one of those things I don't quite understand.

A: We are so self-absorbed--everything is politics of greed/classism/racism. We feel the need to place stereotypes on individuals, and don't give a damn about any of the global problems until they smack us in the head.

A: While I adore my 2 1/2ft. aloe, I like animals better b/c they will at least give attitude& they remind you to feed them
If you won $1 million, what would be the very first thing you would buy?
A: A beautiful Victorian house big enough for my friends to live w/me & me to still feel like I had space of my own.

A: A car so I could stop taking the subway. I actually want a VW bug for the cute factor...
